This welding helmet is supplied with power by solar cells and additionally by integrated batteries. It also has a test function for battery condition
There are welding helmets with similar appearance but these often lack this equipment and so the eyes aren´t protected against damage like photokeratitis.
This welding helmet has a 'grinding function' which prevents it from darkening when used for grinding works.
The helmet has an alarm function which is activated at low battery status.
Additionally, there is a testing function. So you can test the darkening of the visor before every use
All these features prevent damage of eyes while welding.
