Machinery skates with connecting rod. This rod has a joint, so bumps can be compensated. It is made of extreme rigid steel. Absolute torsion-resistant. 

Through an opening you can slide the connecting rod to combine the two skates. Additionally this rod can be braced against the skates. So slipping is impossible.

The castors are made of tough plastic and are ball bearing mounted.
